What is the lead time for the engraving service on my SERICA watch?
The turnaround time for a custom engraving is two weeks.
This lead time varies depending on your purchase method:
- For a new purchase (Online & Boutique): Please allow an additional two weeks on top of the standard preparation time for your watch.
- For a watch you already own: This two-week period begins once the "Bon à Tirer" (final design proof) is validated with our atelier.
What are the terms and conditions of the engraving service?
Once your purchase is completed online or in our Paris boutique, our team will personally assist you through the personalization process of your timepiece:
- Design Selection: Our Workshop Manager will contact you directly to present the various artworks and layouts available. You will then be able to select or refine the design of your choice.
- Approval of the "BAT" (Design Proof): Once you provide your final validation, the engraving process begins with our master craftsman.
- Technical Quality Control: After the caseback has been engraved, your watch undergoes a series of rigorous tests, including timekeeping calibration and water-resistance testing to ensure it meets SERICA’s strict quality standards.
- Delivery: Your watch is then shipped to you with tracking or made available for pick-up in our Paris boutique, depending on the delivery method selected at the time of your purchase.
What is the cost of the engraving service?
The engraving service is offered at a flat rate of €200. Performed by a master engraver in Paris using a diamond-point technique, this method ensures exceptional durability. This traditional process is specifically designed to withstand successive polishes without fading or losing its sharp definition.
